Gene-Ginny OOM
Ginny walks in to the burrow slowly as she looks around and then holds the door for him. It was actually a broom closet door they were walking through. She’s glad everyone else isn’t home at the moment. She’s not totally sure how her dad and Gene would get along. The kitchen is clean and doesn’t look to odd to a muggle unless you count the fact that there is a clock with 7 hands all with names on them. If you look though the sparkling windows the sun is shining and the gnomes are walking back to the garden. A cat is chasing them and Arnold is sitting on the counter making odd noises.

The third is that it all feels very...strange. Strange in a way the bar doesn't, even though it has its own brand of off-ness.
'This your house, then? Your mam an' dad's, I suppose?'
no subject
She said and at least this is one place she doesn't need wand ready. She hopes he is at least able to enjoy himself.
no subject
'How many of you are there, then?'
There are seven names up there so this is probably a stupid question.
'An' where are they all right now?'
no subject
She then smiles slowly for some reason her mum never put herself on the clock
"Ron's at work as is dad and Mum is visiting Charlie."
no subject
Still. It's nice. Homely.
'Where are we? You sound Southern. I try to avoid the South as a general rule but I s'pose it can't be helped.'
no subject
She said then looks at him and smiles.
"Can I get you something to drink?"
no subject
He rolls his eyes good-humouredly and hobbles over to the table, where he leans the crutch against the side and sits himself down.
'Yeah, wouldn' mind a cup of tea. Or a whiskey, whatever's easiest.'
And she wasn't lying. It is warm here. He takes his coat off and sits looking out of the window at the garden and trees out there. It feels strangely peaceful.
no subject
She smiles she'll just keep being cheeky.
Arnold hops over to him. Looking up at him. The mun has no idea what Pygmypuffs can do so she makes it up
She starts water then gets a glass down for whiskey she'll get both.
no subject
'Uh.'
Yeah, that's all he's got for a minute.
'Your...creature, is starin' at me.'
no subject
"Arnold, that's not nice. Sorry he's got no manners."
His hand is being licked.
no subject
'What is it?'
no subject
She is trying to hide a smile.
no subject
'Like a...sort of small dog-like pet?'
He can't see any use to it whatsoever.
no subject
"Something like that. For our world they are pets."
no subject
'....right.'
Ugh.
'Mind if I have a look outside? No point looking at the sun from in here.'
Also, he's curious as to whether a world with magic in it has dancing trees or acid-squirting bushes or anything.
no subject
There is a Flutterby bush that quivers as if the leaves are butterflies
A honking daffodil plant is by the door.
no subject
'...these carnivorous, by any chance?'
They sure as hell look it.
no subject
no subject
'What are they?'
It should be pointed out that Gene is a city boy through and through. These plants could be normal Muggle ones for all he knows, though he's pretty sure he's never come across anything like them in his life before.
no subject
She smiles at him and nods the flutterby smells of sweet nectar. the little wing type things flutter.
no subject
'Right then.'
After a magical multi-dimensional bar, magic plants should be nothing but somehow, they seem even more odd than Milliways.
'You got more stuff like that around here? I mean, is everythin' magical?'
no subject
She points at the little potatoes on bodies that are playing in the garden.
no subject
'What th' bloody 'ell are they?'
OK, she said gnomes. But for someone as non-magical as Gene, that doesn't help a lot.
'Are they vermin?'
no subject
no subject
'Should jus' shoot th' bastards. Or...turn them into something. What use is a magic wand if you don' get to turn pests into frogs?'
It's possible his knowledge of witches extends to fairytales and not much else.

So he huffs and carries on, looking around him. It really is warm here and it feels damn good. Bit too much in the country for his liking but he supposes that can't be helped.
'So wha's it like then? Livin' in a place where you use magic but most of the population don't? Isn' that a pain in the arse?'
no subject
"It can, be but it would be a bigger pain if people knew about it. I mean can you imagain if the mu- others knew about it every little thing they would want us to fix."
She then smiles. "I mean with magic a lot is possible, I mean daddy had a car that looked small on the out side but inside it held 8 comfortably"
